Griezi, I’m Azura Silberschmidt.
Remaking Photography is grounded in a slower approach to image-making, taking time for conversation, collaboration and the everyday stories that fast-paced media often moves past.
Grounded in practice
What began as a way of understanding my own story has grown into a collaborative photographic practice shaped by conversations, relationships and shared acts of image-making. I'm grateful for the people and stories I've encountered through this work and curious about where it will lead next. Rather than beginning with the camera, I start by listening, reflecting and spending time with the people I work alongside.
Slowing down
Every project begins with conversation. I take time to listen, ask questions and understand what matters before the making process begins.
Building trust
What remains isn't only the photograph but the relationships, conversations and experiences that shaped it.
